🧙♂️My name is Karina (aka Shepengul) and I’m a professional illustrator.
I work both digitally and on paper and love mixing the two mediums. Over the years I have developed my unique artistic style which I now use to create illustrations for books, games, prints... and anything else!
I now mostly work with authors and publishers, helping them create atmosphere and tangibility in their stories by fleshing them out visually. Despite my huge love of fantasy and mystical realism, I work with completely different genres of stories, including sci-fi, young adult and non-fiction, and am always open to something new.

Out of the office
On top of illustration I (surprise surprise) love books and, of course, writing my own story, dreaming of one day illustrating it myself. I like the feeling of materiality in art, so in my spare time I paint in oils on canvases, sculpt in clay, fill sketchbooks (you can see it all on my Instagram). I also make fun visual novels for friends, which allows me to fulfill my childhood dream of creating games. I often move to other cities and countries with my cat. I like going to galleries to look at other people's art.

Absolutely PHENOMENAL! The sketch I sent her looked like a children's drawing and she took it and turned it into a masterpiece. It was so amazing to see the vision come to life, and she was so, so fast with revisions and responses. I mean, I am completely blown away and absolutely in love!!!
